I'm a PhD candidate in mathematics at the University of Toronto and part of the Fields Institute’s specialization program in Information Security.
My research focuses on combinatorics and set theory, with applications to areas like distributed algorithms, machine learning, cryptography, quantum information theory, and data structures. I'm especially interested in bridging abstract math and practical computer science—exploring how deep theoretical ideas can help build more secure and efficient systems.
When I am not focused on research or teaching, I like spending time outdoors or playing music. You can browse my notes at notes.wiederhold.dev.
